Paddle Boarding Warm Up Exercises and Stretches (5 exercises & 5 stretches)

This video demonstrate  5 paddle boarding warm-up exercises and 5 post-paddle stretches that help me stay mobile and keep my body happy.

 

Always listen to your body, modify where needed and do what works best for you. Save for when you’re headed out on your next paddle or have time to work on your mobility.

Warm-Up Exercises: 

  • Arm-Circles: 10 forward & 10 backward
  • Windmill with your Paddle: 8-15 rotations
  • Reverse Lunge with Twist: 10-16 reps
  • Overhead Paddle Squats: 10-15 reps
  • Calf Raises: 15-20 reps

 

Post-Paddle Stretches:

  • Hold each stretch & side for 30 seconds
  • Standing Back Stretching with your Paddle
  • Kneeling Hip Flexor with a Side Bend
  • Standing Figure 4
  • Standing Quad Stretch
  • Single-Leg Downward Dog

At iPaddle Miami even though we say no experience necessary, we offer Stand-Up Paddle classes with our PaddleFit Certified resident coach Aymee Vasquez. SUP lessons are 90 minutes long. We offer One on One classes which offer personalize attention and Private Groups of up to 6 friends or family members to enjoy a fun filled day. Stand-Up Paddle offers an active way to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy Miami waterways. We often see dolphins, manatees, rays and even an occasional turtle 🐬🐢🐟☀️🏝️.
We are bilingual and offer SUP lessons in English or Spanish, minimum age is 10 years old.
